WhatWe are a non-profit organization. We started this organization in 2014 using the name Fort McMurray Cricket Club, and at that time we only had 1 club. We changed into association in 2015. We now have more than 80 registered members from diverse backgrounds, with the majority of members being from South Asia (India & Pakistan). We have 2 Clubs and 4 teams. The two main clubs are Snyepers & Strike Force and they have 2 teams (Bisons & Titans). We are recognized by Cricket Canada and the Alberta Cricket Association.

Our mission is to foster, promote and teach cricket to community members and provide them a platform to showcase their talent on Club, Provincial, and Canadian levels.

When – When we practice and compete is dependent on the current season.

During fall and winter, we do indoor practice that runs from February till April - only on weekends. We have a 2-4hr/session once per weekend with the Bola machine @Mcdonald Island park or Keyano College. The times for indoor practice timings vary as it's dependent on the majority of participants' availability.

In May, League Registration starts, and only NACA registered members can participate in League matches. League matches are held by a T-20 & T-40 Format. Typically T-20 game finish in 3hrs and T-40 game finishes in 6-7hrs. All matches are held outdoor from May-September @ Syncrude Athletic Park Fort Mcmurray. Matches are played only during weekends Between 10 AM- 6 PM

Where We train 3 days (Tue, Wed & Thur) during the week from 5 pm-9 pm at Syncrude Athletic Park. On weekends, we play League matches at Syncrude Athletic Park Timberlea Fort Mcmurray between 10 am and 6 pm.

Why – Our organization was formed to foster, promote and educate cricket among the Fort Mcmurray community. It was also a platform that unites communities and people from different backgrounds to get to know each other. In doing so, it develops relationships through the game and promotes a healthy and competitive sports environment.
